PLUTA attorney Daniel Barth achieves follow-up solution for hotel service provider

4 March 2024 · Hallbergmoos · Business Area Insolvency Administration

Insolvency administrator Mr Daniel Barth from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has found an investor for sole proprietorship BMC Hotelservice & Dienstleistungen. The newly established BMC Hotelservice & Dienstleistungen GmbH will acquire the business and the some 80 employees by way of an asset deal. The transaction was approved at today’s meeting of the creditors’ assembly.

For many years, BMC Hotelservice & Dienstleistungen has been a reliable partner providing professional hotel services, primarily room cleaning and housekeeping. The company’s customers include four hotels in Munich, Augsburg and Nuremberg.

The Local Court of Landshut opened the insolvency proceedings for the debtor’s assets on 1 February 2024 and appointed PLUTA restructuring expert Mr Daniel Barth as insolvency administrator. He had previously acted as provisional administrator for the company.

The company has remained fully operational while the provisional insolvency proceedings have been underway. In parallel, Mr Daniel Barth has been working on a viable follow-up solution that would safeguard the business and jobs. The PLUTA attorney said, “I am very happy with the outcome. We have been able to find the best possible solution together. All jobs have been saved and the creditors can expect an above-average recovery rate.” Attorney Mr Daniel Barth is being supported in the proceedings by business lawyer Mr Maximilian Wanko.
