PLUTA Partner Dr. Kaufmann finds Solution for Versand und Weiterverarbeitung Hagen GmbH

In the insolvency proceedings for Versand und Weiterverarbeitung Hagen GmbH, the insolvency administrator Dr. Christian Kaufmann from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH, has achieved a solution for the staff. This followed long and intensive negotiations with the only customer about concrete arrangements for the future collaboration. These successful negotiations were the basis for ensuring that at least 150 of the 250 people previously employed will also have a job in the future. The new service providers, PPL Service GmbH from Ludwigshafen and SOS Effektive-Service GmbH, a member of the Hanover-based Tabel Group, have in the meantime offered employment to 151 people, thus saving the majority of the jobs.

The restructuring expert Dr. Kaufmann explained: “I am delighted that we have succeeded in finding a solution within a short space of time, which saves so many jobs.” In the worst-case scenario, none of the previous employees would have kept their jobs.

With its decision of 26 November 2015, Bremen Insolvency Court had opened insolvency proceedings for the assets of the company Versand und Weiterverarbeitung Hagen GmbH and appointed Dr. Kaufmann as the insolvency administrator. The Local Court of Bremen had already appointed the restructuring expert as the provisional insolvency administrator at the end of September 2015. Since then, the full scope of business operations has been continued. The company provides a customer with services and contract work in the area of further processing and despatching print products.

Versand und Weiterverarbeitung Hagen GmbH is a member of the Bremen-based Stark Group. The attorney Dr. Kaufmann has already been appointed as the insolvency administrator of several enterprises in the Stark Group. These include for example S & T Sicherheit & Technik GmbH & Co. KG as well as druckservice duisburg medienfabrik GmbH & Co. KG.
