Insolvency Administrator Mr. Ingo Thurm from Hanover joins PLUTA

The insolvency administrator Mr. Ingo Thurm from Hanover and his nine-member team have joined PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH with effect from 1 January 2016. This means that the nationwide oriented company has consolidated its position further and is now one of the insolvency law firms with the most insolvency proceedings in Lower Saxony. With its 36 national branch offices, PLUTA is one of the largest insolvency and restructuring companies in Germany.

“We are delighted about the decision Ingo Thurm has made. He enjoys an excellent reputation as an insolvency administrator and fits our company perfectly,” said PLUTA partner Torsten Gutmann, who manages the Hanover branch office.

Mr. Thurm has been active as an attorney since 2001 and has been regularly appointed as an insolvency administrator in Lower Saxony since 2004. The 43-year-old studied Law in Göttingen. Up until now, he has worked for the renowned law firm THURM.WACHSMUTH.

Mr. Thurm, who has already successfully worked on many insolvency proceedings in his career, strengthens PLUTA’s traditional business of insolvency administration. Moreover, he has already been active in debtor-in-possession proceedings and therefore has extensive expertise. For example, he managed the insolvency proceedings for the model and mould maker Modell- und Formenbau Wilhelm Funke GmbH & Co. KG with more than 100 employees. He also succeeded in finding a long-term solution for Paul Böhm GmbH & Co. KG, a paper wholesale company from Hildesheim. Furthermore, he turned around Hotho GmbH from Hanover, specialists in surface treatments, and sold the company to a strategic investor at the beginning of 2015. Last year, he sold the insolvent company ST-Templin GmbH, a wholesale enterprise specialising in replacement parts for trucks, to Chinese investors.

Ingo Thurm explained: “In future, the administrator offices will have to be interconnected. The nationwide network, the business orientation and the strong brand speak in favour of PLUTA.” Mr. Thurm together with his team will carry on their successful work under a new roof.
