Michael Pluta and Stefan Meyer named among the top insolvency law attorneys

PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has received yet another prestigious award. WirtschaftsWoche, a leading German business magazine, has listed PLUTA as a top law firm in the field of insolvency law for 2023. Attorneys Mr Michael Pluta and Mr Stefan Meyer have also been named among the best-regarded insolvency law attorneys.

The law firms and attorneys were selected on the basis of extensive analysis. For this, the Handelsblatt Research Institute (HRI) asked more than 1,600 legal experts from 159 law firms to name their best-regarded colleagues in the areas of insolvency law and restructuring. Following assessment by a jury, a total of 36 law firms with 53 attorneys prevailed in the field of insolvency law and 31 law firms with 44 legal experts in that of restructuring.

Mr Michael Pluta is the founder and a managing partner of PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH and manages the law firm’s Ulm and Stuttgart branch offices. Among other things, the restructuring expert is currently provisional insolvency administrator for Allgaier Automotive GmbH, a well-known supplier to the international automotive industry.

Mr Stefan Meyer is also a managing partner of PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH and heads up a number of branch offices in North Rhine-Westphalia and neighbouring Lower Saxony. The specialist attorney for insolvency and restructuring law is currently insolvency administrator for automotive supplier FRIMO as well as restructuring officer for GERRY WEBER AG and insolvency monitor for Gerry Weber Retail GmbH, to name just a few examples.

Both restructuring experts and other PLUTA colleagues were also recently named ‘Germany’s top attorneys’. For this annual ranking, US publisher Best Lawyers identifies Germany’s top attorneys and law firms for German business daily Handelsblatt.
