PLUTA Managing Director Ivo-Meinert Willrodt elected Vice-President of the EIP Association

8 November 2018 · Munich · Business Area Insolvency Administration

Mr Ivo-Meinert Willrodt, a Managing Director and Partner of PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH, was elected the Vice-President of the European Insolvency Practitioners Association (EIP) at the last meeting in October. The EIP was founded in 2016 as the European umbrella organisation for insolvency administrators and restructuring experts. The organisation aims at representing the interests of the industry in Brussels.

The founding members of EIP include eleven national associations from nine countries. Today the organisation consists of 16 associations representing almost 5,000 members in 12 countries (Denmark, Germany, Estonia, France, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Austria, Sweden, Slovenia and Spain). The EIP has formed five working groups to collect the most important subjects that the insolvency and structuring experts have to deal with. The founding members of the organisation include the Working Group on Insolvency Law and Restructuring in the German Bar Association (DAV) and the German Association of Insolvency Administrators (VID).

The Board is made up of eight people in total. The DAV’s Insolvency and Restructuring Working Group and the VID each are represented by two members in the Board. “The EIP umbrella organisation is developing into one of the most important voices regarding restructuring subjects in Europe. I am really looking forward to working for the Association,” said the restructuring expert Mr Ivo-Meinert Willrodt, who manages PLUTA’s International Desk and is responsible for six PLUTA branch offices in South Germany.
