The management of Karlie Group GmbH has announced that Pet Supplies Beheer, the Dutch holding and parent company of Beeztees, has acquired Karlie Flamingo GmbH. The purchase agreement was signed on 17 May 2017. A full 100% of the equity interests as well as the trade names “Karlie Flamingo” and “Karlie” have been sold to the buyer. This means that the brand name “Karlie” will be preserved.
Karlie Group GmbH has been involved in debtor-in-possession proceedings since December 2016. The M&A process for its high-asset subsidiary Karlie Flamingo GmbH (German subgroup) has now been completed successfully. As part of the proceedings, the company is being supported by the attorneys and restructuring experts Dr Maximilian Pluta, Stefan Meyer and Markus Fünning of PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH. The M&A process was carried out by the business consultancy hahn.consultants.
On 10 April 2017, the Paderborn Local Court opened the main proceedings concerning the assets of Karlie Group GmbH and approved debtor-in-possession management. The attorney Dr Jan Markus Plathner from Brinkmann & Partner has been appointed as the insolvency monitor to oversee the proceedings.
Karlie Group is an international wholesaler and producer of branded pet accessories and pet snacks. Beeztees is one of the leading B2B partners for pet accessories, with customers in more than 45 countries. The most important markets for the company, which was founded in 1979, are the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
